Hidden in plain sight, off Little Bourke Street, down Rankins Lane, behind a storied door, a brand-new magic theatre will open its doors in 2026 : Piccolo Teatro ; and it’s not like anything this city has seen for decades.

As a magician who has spent over 25 years performing on stages around Australia and the world, I can tell you this with confidence: this venue was built for real magic. I should know, I have literally built it myself.
