A celebration of a decade of the brilliance of this truly unique cabaret show will take place on Sunday the 8th of October in a yet to be disclosed Melbourne venue! It will be a homecoming, a finale` and a celebration of the creatives who have given a decade of entertainment to Australian audiences!
In so many ways this final performance of The Paris Underground Cabaret will be something truly special. For me personally it will be a beautiful way to crown a decade of production and directorial success and collaboration, of magic performance, of cabaret performance, of partnerships and friendships, of performance joy and sharing the sacred space with my performer friends and of sharing cheeky, irreverent fun and theatrical creation with individuals and audiences as a whole. No doubt it will be tinged with some sadness, it is going to be hard to say goodbye to a show that every time we perform seems like putting on your favourite jacket!
The Paris Underground Cabaret started as an 8 week engagement at the brilliant little Chapel street cabaret club Red Bennies in 2013 and went on to tour the country for the following decade. This final show will be a homecoming and a poetic fin de siecle ( this will become clear when the venue announcement is made in the coming week ). I will have more to say when we announce the venue and tickets go on sale. But for now.... Sunday October 8th, 2023... SAVE THE DATE!
